Geoff Bonar, PT, OCS, was born in Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks in 1984. In 1994, Geoff began ProMotion Physical Therapy in a small clinic on Jackson Boulevard. He has managed ProMotion Physical Therapy since 1997, in association with the surgeons of Neurosurgical and Spinal Surgery Associates. In 2019, the practice joined Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center, and he continues to manage our three physical therapy clinics across Rapid City. 

Geoff specializes in the biomechanical approach to the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries, with a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription. He incorporates custom-fabricated foot orthotics for patients with the need for external support. He is also certified in the application of functional capacity assessments through The University of Alabama (Physical Work Performance Evaluation).
